Tho sugar factory has now received nil the beets for this season, a total of 4,202 tons which is tho largest tonnage they nave over lmd for one season. They are now running them thiough as fast as possible though the soft beets have caused somo delny, Yesterday work wus again b-gun on tho big pile. Along the edge the beets were frozen together and had to be broke out with a pick Some nrc u little mouldy but generally in good condition. They think all the -vorst ones have now been worked. Prof. Tanner of Lognn nnd Pros. Murdockof Beaver were visitors at the facto) y yesterday and took quite nn interest in what they saw. Pjof. Tanner talks as though tho Experiment Station might establish a branch here and make eonio extensive experiments in the raising of sugarbeets. It would bo a splendid thing for tho farmors und the factory if such a thing is done. Never before have tho stock in tho feeding jnrds done so well us this year. This is because they are more gentle and the weather hnH been eo favorable There has been a wonderful change in them during the past few weeks und they have many now that are ready to sell. Pleasant Giovj furmers are furnishing tho yards with considerablb hay. Prof. Luther Foster, Pres. OrBon Smith of Logan and Bishop Wrignt 0 llyrum were visitors at tho sugar factory last week. They were much interested and, say they have plenty of good farmers in 6icho and can supply the beets if they can only secure the capita to build tho factory. Notice was posted on Wednesday stating that the men would be paid double wages for work on Christmas day. In the fnctory everything" goes on as usual. Tho men were pleased over the double wages paid tor Christmas. Tho factory sent out suitable Christmas Christ-mas souvenirsto their regular customers.
