Show DEER HUNTING ON SEASON 1931 in ili order to remove the annual in creaso of door doer from the kaibab national forest the arizona gamo came and visit fisli commission ot of the LT 9 forest service havo have agreed to the opening of restricted areas to hunting I 1 during the tall fall of 1931 co cooperative plan 1 hunting will be dono done under arizona game laws and forest service regulations ula tlona ions two hunting areas are designated one on oil the alio cast side and one on the west side maps may he be seen at the camps hunting will not he be permitted elsewhere camps will ho be in charge of forest rangers and deputy game wardens who will supervise the removal of the doer deer to prevent overcrowding and accidents ci a limited number ot of persons will be allowed in fit each camp at one time only guns of largo large caliber may be used shot guns revolvers and bows and arrows will not bo be permitted automatic rifles will be allowed but they are not favored shooting from automobiles and along roads is prohibited no shooting will be permitted within less than one quarter mile from camp season october 16 to november 15 1931 fees and limit each hunter must havo have a state of arizona h hunting un t I 1 n g I 1 license I 1 con be and a government agreement agreement before going to the hunting camp state license resident each tato state license nonresident non resident bac each h government agreement each each person will bo be allowed I 1 deer which may he be either a buck or a doo doe tags metal tags will be attached to each deer killed camps there will be two checking stations where state licenses and government agreements may bo be purchased I 1 west side htyan checking station Mo camp pine flat camp dig saddle camp east side south canyon fC checking station and hunting camp this camp Is principally tor for indians indiana but anyone may hunt liars here horses and guides gudes horses will be at each camp and may be ba hired at the following rates 1 II horse lorse per day of oe for foi halt day halt day la Is 4 hours or less les full day is over 4 hours 1 guide per day one guide can take care of 0 two to tour four hunters it t la Is advisable to be by a guide it if a deer la Is left where killed it la is sometimes hard to find it again meals and supplies meals will be served at all the camps at each Bec bedding Iding should bo be brought along but each camp will have a few beds beda tor for rent each camp has haa tent cabins with stoves tor for rent at hyan meals meala and gasoline may be procured the jacob lake camp on highway 89 will furnish gasoline and groceries at reasonable prices at grand canyon bridge are gasoline groceries and a good hotel at Hou Ilou camp gasoline and groceries are available the tha VT ranch hotel will be open during oc october t ober and november for those desiring to visit the top of the Contin continued uca to back page DEER HUNTING ON THE FOREST 1931 1 continued from page one mountain and the grund grand canyon gasoline here there thera are good hotels hotel at t Vr ardi lire donla dI arizona and kanab Kni uil utah roads auto roads lead to all camps and snow enow will not close them to travel during the season airplane landings there la Is an all season landing held at fredonia lre donla autos may be hired at Vre donla to haul hunters to camps the arizona hotel and the Trav cllela ellets inn will arrange for beds in carapi caan reservations Reserva tiona I 1 reservations for dates to enter the hunting camps may bo be made la in advance vance by application to walter G mann vorest forest lupoi supervisor baor kanab utah it la is not absolutely necessary to have reservations just come any time you will not have to wait long WEAR A ILL D CAP |
