Show LIBRARY BOARD HEAR REPORT the library iyo board ard of natieb kanab met last monday evening at tho the r free roe public library the librarians librarian an s report was read and approved 0 other t her library y problems were also di discussed during 1933 the total circulation til at books and magazines were adults and children only 33 books boo ks were added by purchase liase in 1033 1933 however the barles Lite literary Tary league donated is 18 books tor for children and about 60 50 b books 0 for adul adults is at the beginning of 1934 tile the total number of books in the library was for adults and 1145 for children making it a total of books the circulation of books consists mainly of fiction and story books for children books on biography history and travel come next and a few books on social problems useful arts and religion are read read Altho although wet wal have some splendid books in philosophy and science there is very little call for them magazine reading has increased during the last year although fewer f ewer current magazines were subscribed tor for in 1934 than formerly reference work has also in creased materially and a general need is felt tor for magazines and books dealing on current history and problems both national and international 1 tile books on the rental shelf are barly in fit need of being re I 1 plot dished the the board members who were present breser t at the meeting last monday evening evening were 1 I 0 brown J al burgoyne D at and rose hose II 11 hamblin |
