Show Volunteers needed at DayCare Center Diaper changers are currently in demand. Volunteer aids are needed immediately to assist in the care and supervision of over 70. children at the Escalante Valley Dav Care Center. "The potato harvest is at its peak, and the day care center here is badly in need of volunteers volun-teers to lake care of the children of migrant workers who are helping with the harvest," Virginia B. Higbee, coordinator of volunteer activities for Volunteers in Community Service, Ser-vice, said. Most of the children are Indians In-dians three years old and younger. The volunteer service includes supervising play activity, ac-tivity, feeding, changing diapers and general supervision of children's activity. "We will pick up volunteers at their homes and provide transportation tran-sportation to and from the center. Hours of service, including in-cluding travel time, will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.," Higbee said. Volunteers may work any number of days they choose, from one day on up until the time the harvest is complete and the workers leave. Preshcool children may " accompany volunteers to the-day care center. "This may even provide a valuable bi-cultural experience for some children," Higbee said.
