Show V y v1 V y LaMOND F. BEATTY LaMond F. Beatty earns doctorate degree from U of U A former Cedar City resident, LaMond F. Beatty, recently re-ceived re-ceived his Doctor of Philisophy from the University of Utah. Beatty, a native of Cedar City was educated in Iron County schools, attended Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural College and received his bachelors degree from Utah State University. He obtained his masters' degree de-gree from USU and received c e r tif ication in Elementary, Secondary and Administrator, areas of the education field. Beatty also taught In both the elementary and secondary system of the Iron County School District and has held previous positions as assistant director of the U of U Education Educa-tion Media Center and Instructor Instruc-tor In the College of Education at the U. At the present time he is Administrator of the Eduea- tional Media Center at the U of U and an assistant professor, I n structlonal Systems and Learning Resources Department of the College of Education at the Salt Lake institution. Active in the LDS Church he is a member of the General Church Meetinghouse Executive Execu-tive Committee and is the Financial Clerk in the Rose Park Second Ward. Dr. Beatty prepared his dissertation dis-sertation on "The Role of the Educational Media Specialist: a Follow-up Study to Analyze the Determinants of Appropriateness Appropri-ateness of Preparation to Role Assignment." He is married to the former Lois Gardner of Cedar City and they have three children. |
