A Nord- Nord vall custodian of the State University buildings in which asks the Legislature to appropriate appropriate p and give to him the sum of because of injuries received by according to his petition while employed at the University From the petition it would appear that Nord Nord- vall has had about as much misfortune as a man could have and live to tell the tale It is set forth that he was employed as custodian in 1884 under Dr John R. R Park In 1893 was the vie victim vic tim of a painful accident While ass assisting sting in jn moving a heavy stone pillar other workmen pushed the pillar in such a way that it crushed one of thumbs and two fingers Later while helping to carry a heavy show case from one on one of the buildings those who assisted him carelessly careless careless- ly permitted the show case to fall and it found a al resting place on foot smashing a toe and causing other painful injuries In addition to all this he met with further misfortune when he had a hand mangled in a a windmill This was in 1900 and in 1905 while at work irrigating trees he fell over some pipes and received painful and lasting injury to his knee Following all these mishaps an abscess formed forme in in his head causing great pain and the petition recites that he is becoming deaf is already crippled by reason of the accidents and is necessary to insure rest and proper medical at at- |
