Show Cedar women join U.S. Army Pamela Faye Clark, wife of Brent John Clark, has enlisted In the United States Army. SSG Frank Stastny, VS. Army Re-presentatlve, Re-presentatlve, informed us that with the new Federal Laws instated in-stated June 1st, women can enlist en-list in the VS. Army at the age of 18 without any restrictions due to relatives, dependents, or anything else that would prevent pre-vent them from being on an equal basis with their male counterparts In Government Employment. It Is also becoming becom-ing common to see husband and wife teams enlisting in the Army. Pamela selected to enlist under un-der the Unit of Choice Option which will guarantee her two separate items. First is her choice of training and for that she selected to go in the Administration Ad-ministration Field as an Equip-ment Equip-ment Maintenance Records Coordinator. Co-ordinator. This oc c upatlon covers the documentation, recording, re-cording, and supervision of all incomingoutgoing p a perwork that deals speclflcly with Army Malntalnence Equipment for budgeting and planning purposes, pur-poses, to include maintenance and operation expenses. When she completes her formal school-lng, school-lng, she will be assigned to Fort Ord, Calif, to complete the second portion of her guarantee which is to receive the assignment assign-ment of her choice. Pamela is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Phillips of Cedar. She graduated from Cedar High School in 1969 and then went on to SUSC. Later Pamela married Brent Clark of Cedar and they are now the proud parents of 5 month old, John. She is now attending the U.S. Army Training Center for Women at Fort McClellan, Ala. From there she will travel on to her school and when all this Is completed, Pamela will be assigned to Fort Ord where she will join her husband and family. |
