Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamor mux Boy Scout week was observed observ-ed In an appropriate manner In Paragonah when approximately approxi-mately 75 people attended a banquet held in the Cultural Hall on Saturday evening. A delicious ham dinner was ar-ranged ar-ranged under the direction of the local MIA to honor the boy scouts and cub scouts, their parents and brothers and sisters. A short program was presented pre-sented Including a skit by the cub scouts, remarks by Bishop Myron Abbott, musical musi-cal numbers and presenting of awards. Thursday evening a Community Com-munity planning and zoning meeting was held In the Ward Jr. Sunday School room. Chester Robinson of the Town Board presided at the meeting which was well attended. Mr. John C. Willie, a planning consultant, was present to talk to the croup and answer Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Larsen of Rlverton were in town on Saturday to visit with Mrs. Larson's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rob-inson. Rob-inson. Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson was hostess for the Ladies Faculty dinner party at the Robinson home on Friday evening. ev-ening. Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Lund and four children of Layton were overnight guests at the Wilson Lund home on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Harris drove down from Salt Lake City on Saturday to get Nona's Non-a's mother, Mrs. Hannah Robinson Rob-inson and take her with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Robinson Robin-son of Ogden visited here overnight ov-ernight Friday with Kerry's aunt, Mrs. Idella Robinson. They also visited with grand father, Mr. William T. Hillman Stevens of Ogden visited here with his sister, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Topham and sons Joe and Timothy and a friend, all of Delta, came to Paragonah on Friday for an over-night visit with Doyle's mother, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Douglas Davenport spent a week in the Valley View Medical Med-ical Center recently In traction tract-ion for a back ailment. He was released to come home on the 19th and is back to work again. The long holiday weekend was the occasion for a number num-ber of visitors to Paragonah recently. Mr, and Mrs. Duane Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux and children of Las Vegas Ve-gas Visited overnight Sunday with Sonya's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson Adams of Paro-wan Paro-wan and wiith the Joe Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux family. Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Talbot, daughter Karen and son Mark of Salt Lake City spent the weekend of the 18th here with their people, Mr. and Mrs. Renford Talbot and Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and family of Layton were here for the long holiday weekend with Laura's parents Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamor-eaux. Lamor-eaux. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Montague Monta-gue of Payson visited here briefly on Saturday with members of the William T. Davenport family. They were enroute home from a trip to Las Vegas and various parts of Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux drove to Baker, Calif, on Sunday to take their son, Brad, who has prospective employment em-ployment there. David accompanied accom-panied them on the trip. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hulet of Phoenix, Ariz, became proud first time parents on Saturday when a fine baby girl was born to them at the Valley View Medical Center In Cedar City. Grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Hulet Hu-let of Parowan and Mr. Ivan Robb. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullin-ger Hullin-ger of Salt Lake City visited here from the 16th to the 19th with their sister, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Mrs. Mary Dotson has returned re-turned to Calif, after a couple of weeks here at her vacation home. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson were to Beaver on Saturday Sat-urday to attend a birthday dinner celebration for Mrs. Zona Meyers. Jims brothers and sisters gathered at the Meyers home for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Nelson traveled to Salt Lake City to spend the weekend with the Scott Barton family and to leave their two children there for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Don Larsen and three children of Plain City were over-night visitors at the Legrand Robb home Saturday. Mrs. Larsen is a sister to the Robbs son-in-law Bob Christiansen. Mrs. Miriam Limb, daughter daugh-ter Lorraine and her little girl were Sunday visitors at the James H. Anderson home. Mrs. Vickie Rowley and her children visited, here with the Dean Robinson family last week and Marsha kept the three younger children while Mrs. Rowley took Von Into Salt Lake City where he underwent un-derwent tests at the Primary Children's HospitaL He was Injured recently in an accident, acci-dent, but nothing too serious was found. |
