Show 0 v WHY NOT A UTAH PLAY The annual performance of the University University University sity Dramatic Club Club under the direction of Prof Maude l May lay Babcock has always been among the most interesting and delightful events of the year The Club has won a reputation reputation reputation rep rep- that it may well be proud of and every student looks forward with a great deal of pleasure to the production of Trelawny Trelawny Trelawny Tre lawny of the Wells one of Pinero's brightest bright bright- est comedies The Tile question however has lias been asked several times why the Dramatic Club does docs not make this annual performance an entirely entire entire- ly original feature and have it directly a product of the institution This may seem seeman seeman seeman an impossibility but if the students were put to the test a dainty little comedy would in all probability be the issue There is s sno no no- doubt but that the popularity of a pl play y is considerable in drawing the public but if a college student were the author the play would be more enthusiastically received and might even aid greatly in attracting the theatre going public It surely would do dono dono dono no one harm and perhaps benefit many to have this sort of thing attempted and should anything worthy materialize its presentation presenta presenta- tion would be welcome |
