Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Letter to the Editor: At this time we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation ap-preciation to the parents of the Cedar High School students for their support and cooperation in our PTSA Activities this past year-1974-75. Our meetings which were held to inform the parents of the classes available, also to get their input as to the needs of their youth-were well attended and very successful. We feel that communications were superb - in that we have an Administrator - Dr. Jerald Hawley, who is well qualified, concerned and always aware of the problems and needs of the studentbody. He was always willing to work with us and support us in our porjects. We want to thank Dr. Hawley, the faculty and staff - also Mrs. Marilyn Webster and Mrs. Ann Hansen for the hours they spent in our behalf. We want the people of our community to know what special youth we have here. This was examplified by the conduct and behavior portrayed by the members of the Sr. Class of 1975 -on our graduation trip to So. California. We took 105 students on this trip, and enjoyed five glorious days with them. They were special in their appearance, attitude, and cooperation. We had favorable comment wherever we traveled -Californians asking each day "who we were, and where we were from"--e very time receiving a compliment. We were proud to be a part of this special group, and feel it was an honor to share these experiences with them. A special thanks goes to Mr. Doug Knell who went out of his way to arrange such a memorable event for the class He certainly went the second mile to see the students enjne:i as many activities as possible We would like to express another special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. David Brown and Sheriff and Mrs. Ira Schoppmann for taking time from their busy schedules to help chaperone. We chaperones had as much fun as the students. It was just a terrible awakening after returning home to realize we are not teen agers anymore. We highly recommend that the Jr. Class start preparing and planning now for their graduation trip, and hope it will be as fun and as successful as ours. Sincerely Cedar High School PTSA Board |
