Show Veda K. Adams, Church worker dies; honored at funeral senices also vocal solos were rendered by Nora W. Brown "I Know That my Redeemer Lives" and Lue G. Law "0 My Father". Speakers were Cleo R. Edwards and Bishon Dee 'Cowan. Thte benediction was offered by Karl B. Kenney and Earl S. Kenney dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the - I direction of the Spilsbury and p Graff Mortuary. I VEDA K.ADAMS Veda Ellen Kenney Adams, 51 of Cedar City died June 9, 1976 at the Valley View Medical Center of cancer. She was born March 24, 1925 in Fillmore, Utah to Benjamin Glenn and Vilate Stephenson Kenney. Married Norman Matheson Adams July 11, 1950 in the St. George Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church having served a Mission to the Central States in Dec. of 1945 to 1947. Honor Bee Hive girl and was honored for 6 years perfect attendance in MIA. First Counselor Stake YWMIA and then President of YWMIA and was also a stake Gleaner Leader. Received the Golden Gleaner award in April of 1945. Receptionist for director of BAC. Second counselor in the 7th Ward Relief Society from 1964 to 1967 where she served as relief society secretary until 1975. She is survived by her husband, sons and daughters: Norman Glen, Karla, Richard, Kenney and Nancy Ve all of Cedar City; Carolyn of Salt Lake City. Also surviving is her mother, brothers and a sister; Mont G. and Karl B. both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Walker (Nana) Roberts, Portland, Oregon; Earl of Cedar City and Blair of Redland;Calif. Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 12, 1976 in the Cedar Seventh LDS Ward Chapel with Thomas B. Cardon conducting. con-ducting. The family prayer was offered by Mont G. Kenney with Marilyn M. Perry playing the prelude, postlude music and Blair S. Kennev eivine the In- ' " 1 -V O ' D vocation. Musical selections consisted of two numbers by the Seventh Ward Choir "The King of Love My Shepherd is" and "Abide with me 'Tis Eventide", |
