Show Energy meeting slated nn organization caueu Southern Utah Citizens for Fair Power announces that plans are rapidly moving forward for "an informative electric energy meeting" for southern Utah residents. The meeting, to which the public is invited to attend,' will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at the Cedar High School auditorium. Officers of the organization indicate that seven major firms having interests in the Milford geothermal development or Intermountain Power Project have been invited to participate as speakers and panelists "in presenting the reality of new sources of energy for southern Utah citizens." Invited to participate are representatives from G e o t h e r m a 1 Power Federation Thermal Power Company, Getty Oil Company, Com-pany, Union Oil Company, Republic Geothermal, Phillips Petroleum, Intermountain In-termountain Power Project and University of Utah. An effort to reorganize the "Southern Utah Power Federation" to buy power as a large unit for all of its members will be proposed. "We feel that it essential that leaders from the small rural communities and pumpers be in attendance," a spokesman stated. |
