Show . lvJ xsr : MR. AND MRS. LARRY TURNBAUGH Evans, Turnbaugh unite in Temple PAROWAN - On September Sep-tember 10, Helen Evans, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. Evans, Parowan, became the bride of Larry Turnbaugh, son of Mrs. Lois Hunter and the late George P. Turnbaugh, Cedar City. President Whatcott presided over the double ring ceremony in the St. George Temple and a reception honoring the couple was held that same evening in the Parowan Third Ward Cultural Hall. The beautiful bride wore a gown of white chantilly lace with a fitted bodice and full skirt with ruffles cadcading down the back. The finger tip length veil was three tieres, trimmed with lace, and attached to a lace headpiece trimmed with seed pearls and sequins. Bride's attendants included five of her sisters: Mrs,;;, Kevin (Debra) Johnson, Mrs. Steven (Pauline) Applegate, Mrs. Allen (Sherry) Nielson, Mrs. Ron , (Vicky) Anderson and Miss April Evans; and a friend Julie Ann Bentley. They were dressed in long gowns of orange, accented with aqua blue. Flower girls included Heather Johnson, Lori Nielson, Paula Applegate, Ap-plegate, and Ann-Marie Anderson. They also wore orange gowns with aqua blue trim. Stephanie Applegate, Dawna Nielson and Jennifer Anderson were also dressed in long brown floral dresses. Standing as Best Man was Dirk Christiansen and serving as ushers were Douglas Evans, Dan Evans, Keith Nielson, Kelly Nielson, Ben Johnson, Russell Applegate, Ap-plegate, Steve Applegate, and Kevin Johnson. All wore tuxedos, the Groom's was white, the others chocolate brown. Mothers of the couple wore gowns of orange crepe with corsages of orange roses tipped with aqua blue. The bridal bouquet was also of orange roses with white carnations accented with aqua blue. The Bride's going away costume was a maroon pantsuit. The newlyweds honeymooned a week in the Lake Tahoe, San Francisco area before returning to Parowan where they are making their home. Attending the reception were the groom's grandparents grand-parents from Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hunter; an aunt. Jeri Baum and family from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Prisbrey, Olathe, Colorado and numerous other family members and friends from the surrounding surroun-ding area. The reception included dancing and a program Grandpa Hunter sang two musical arrangements as did Brenda Adams. Helen's father, Arthur, paid respect to the bride and his other daughters through a musical reading. |
