Show Bryce Canyon Travel Increases Travel to Bryce Canyon National F'ark showed an increase of 4.5 percent for July of this year over the same period in 1977, it is reported by Thomas O. Hobbs. Superintendent. Total visits to Bryce Canyon for the month of July ( was 145,769. For the year to date the travel figure shows an increase of 13.2 percent over last year. A total of 21,474 persons camped in the park during July. The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Program will be ending this week with several projects being completed during the eight week program, which involves in-volves 30 enrollees from the State and Garfield County. Interpretive activitiers continue with a variety of daily guided walks, talks and evening programs. Fees are being collected at the park entrance station and the campgrounds. Campgrounds have been filling up by 4 p.m. daily, Superintendent Hobbs indicated. in-dicated. C. |
