Show Campus ule ute proclamation on Believing that every underclassman desires to fill the college year with interesting experience to be united in closest fellowship with all the members of a live class and to drink as deeply as possible possible possible pos pos- sible the spirit of campus life and Believing that all upperclassmen look to some s such ch ruling for relief from the burden of their newfound newfound newfound new new- found dignity and plated nickel-plated wisdom and andas as effective index to who's who on the college campus and Believing that even the august and solemn members of the faculty regardless of their exalted state and assumption of sublime indifference take a surreptitious delight in less serious though no less interesting phases of college life Therefore I Hermon J. J Wells after consultation with fellow officers in solemn council assembled do hereby proclaim the following campus rules to go into effect on Friday the of October next and invite the classes concerned to enthusiastically operate co-operate in their enforcement 1 Freshmen and sophomores must wear distinctive caps or hats to be selected by said classes on all school days and at all athletic contests 2 Freshmen and sophomores will not be permitted to wear derby hats on the campus campus or or at athletic contests j 3 Freshmen must not loiter upon the steps of the Administration building In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand on this the day of September nineteen hundred and fifteen m. m Signed H HERMON RMON J.
