Show 1970 Census to measure changes in Utah Ten years of change in Utah's population and housing will bo measured by the 19th Decennial Census to bo conducted con-ducted throughout the nation in April, 1970, by the Bureau of the Census, U, S. Department Depart-ment of Commerce. The new statistics will update jnt'orma. tion last collected in the 10 census. Even the method of taking ,he census will be changed to. many Americans. All housi' holders will roeeic census: forms by mail and will fill them out at home. Throughout Through-out southern Utah census tak-.s tak-.s will call to pick up tin completed forms. In Weber, Davis and Salt Lake counties residents will be asked to mail their forms. Recently a district office will process the data collected in the census. This district office will be headepuarters for census operations op-erations in 26 counties of the state including all of southern south-ern Utah. About 3 -10 crew leaders lead-ers and census takers will be selected and trained. Detailed arrangements will be made to enumerate people in institutions, institu-tions, jails, hosptals, colleges an places other than homes, all in preparat.on tor April 1 when the actual enumeration begins.
