The books are made up of recipes from Lions members all over the world. The suggested preparations are primarily for meats of all types. There are recipes re-cipes from two Utah Lions, one being from a member of the Beryl Club, Verl Woolsey. JOB WELL DONE Johnny McGarry svas recently presented with a beautiful engraved en-graved plaque. The plaque was presented by Escalante Valley Lions Club President, Joe Del-vecchio. Del-vecchio. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Adams, Mr. Dyle Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thorley, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Bracken, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Phelps, Mrs. Rosilla Hills, Mrs. William Haigh, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moyle, Mr. and Mrs. Bry-ner Bry-ner Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moyle, and George Moyle attended attend-ed funeral services for William Flinspach at Pioche, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Wayne Holt and children Joelyn, Kevin, Kim and Clayton, left Thursday to visit with Marilyn's mother, Mrs. Grant Snow, who recently undersvent surgery at Salt Lake City. The Holts returned home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moyle, Miriam and Johnny McGary, Mrs. Ellen Clark, Diane Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moyle and George Moyle attended funeral services for Ralph Gardner of the Escalante Esca-lante Valley vicinity at Provo. WOMEN'S CLUB ANNIVERSARY The February meeting of the Escalante Valley Women's Club was a birthday party celebrating the club's 19th anniversary held at the home of Mrs. Carl Parrish, with Mrs. Gene Butler as co-hostess. Meeting was conducted by President Mary Moyle. Business was transacted after which a special spe-cial reading of past presidencies and events of the club was given by Miriam McGarry and a lovely scrap book of pictures and clippings clip-pings that had been kept by Mrs. Dorothy Gardner was displayed. The remainder of the evening was spent playing games after which refreshments were served. serv-ed. Door prize was won by Miriam Mir-iam McGary. Other prizes were won by Phyllis Wood, Mae Pick-rell, Pick-rell, Miriam McGarry, Edith Force, Mary Moyle, Marion Woolsey, Wool-sey, Lynn Piper, Mary Jane Bracken, Jan Moyle and Mildred Peterson.
