Show College-Community Forum Vital Issues of the Day Discussed In New Lecture Series on Nov. 14 A series of College-Community Forums on vital issues of the day will begin November 14 at College of Southern Utah with a discussion of the pro and con of "compulsory health insurance for all citizens of the United States," it was announced by 'Richard M. Rowley, Associate I Professor of Speech. The first of the series, scheduled sche-duled for 8 p. m. in the CSU Li-jbrary Li-jbrary Lounge, will be organized as a lecture-forum. Two students of debating, Carrick Leavitt, St. George and Grant Harrison, Cedar Ce-dar City, will give opening arguments ar-guments on the affirmative and negative sides of the question, after which guest representatives of the medical profession, the insurance business, the pharmaceutical phar-maceutical industry and the lay I public will present evidence on the question from their respective respec-tive points of view. A question period will follow, in which members of the audience will be invited to address queries to in dividual members of the panel of experts. Members of Professor Rowley's course in Creative Discussion are completing arrangements for the participation in each of the series of forums by outstanding authorities auth-orities from many fields. Second in the series, scheduled for November 21, will be a symposium sym-posium and demonstration on the topic "Creativity vs Conformity." Confor-mity." Other subjects to be aired during the fall quarter series and the dates chosen for each include "Youth and Its Social Pressures," November 28; "Conservation of Human Resources," December 5 and "Education: the Challenge," December 12. Guest experts who will be featured in each of the forum sessions will be announced after final arrangements have been completed, Professor Rowley Row-ley stated.
