Show District Boy Scouts Meet for Sept. Honor Court With the Boy Scouts,' of the Summit Ward acting as hosts, the September court .of honor for scouts of the Brian Head District of the Utah Parks Council, was held at Summit on Sunday evening. eve-ning. A. C. Hatch, 'district chairman, chair-man, presided and W. Clair Rowley, Row-ley, advancement chairman, conducted con-ducted the honor court at which scouts from five troops of the district received advancement and merit badges. ..'.; A detailed explanation of the new score card was made by Mr. Rowley and he announced that the next district court cf honor would be held Oct, 28, at the Parowan Second Ward chapel. At this time at least one and perhaps per-haps three Eagle Awards are to be made to scouts of the district, and the trophy won by Troop 349 of the Parowan Second Ward will be presented at that time. Advancement and merit bodge awards were made under the direction di-rection of Vice President Howard D. Knight to the following Boy Scouts: Troop 343, Parowan First Ward, Larry Orton, Larry Topham, Kenneth Ken-neth Orton, Craig Adams, Jud Hendr.ckson, Harold Mitchell, Paul Chamberlain, Loyd A. Stubbs and Frank Burton. Troop 331, Paragonah Ward, Kenneth A. Lister, Curtis Board-man, Board-man, Jerald Davenporfcand Tom Jones. Troop 341, Parowan "First, Randy Ran-dy Smith and John W. Price. Troop 336, Enoch, Mark R. Nelson Nel-son and Randolph D.-Murle. Ti xp 349, Parowan Second, Ltrry Smith, Leslie Hulet, Manlon Dalley, Theron Wheat-ley Wheat-ley and Raymon Matheson. Arden Richards conducted the group singing with Dot Smith at the piano. The invocation was given by Scout Keith,-Humpher-les, the benediction " by Scout David Dalley and the pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Scout Eugene Dalley -V. |
