Show State Bank of Southern Utah to Open Monday; Announce Officers, Board and New Personnel State Bank of Southern Utah will open its doors to business on Monday, Nov. 25 at 9:30 a. m., according to Robert White, cashier. The bank, newest in southern Utah, will operate on a five day week with hors slated from 9:30 a. m. to 250 a five day week with hours slated from 9:30 a. m. to 250 to G p. m. In announcing the opening the officers of the bank have also disclosed the personnel of the new business.. In addition to White the personnel will be as follows: Eldon W. Schmutz. assistant cashier. Schmutz has been In the banking business for seven and one-half years. He was first associated asso-ciated with First Security of Salt Lake City following his schooling at the University of Utah where he received his degree in banking bank-ing and financing. He moved to Cedar City to be affiliated with the Bank of Southern Utah and the Cedar City office of First curity before accepting the appointment ap-pointment with the State Bank of Southern Utah. Schmutz has been an active community leader. He was elected elect-ed to the city council for a four year term; he Is the recipient of the distinguished service award; president of the Southern tUah Livestock Show and is serving in a number of other organizations. Mrs. Frank Jensen will serve as a teller for the new bank. She has eight years experience with Continental Bank and Trust Co. of Salt Lake City. Completing the present staff will be Mrs. Thomas Urie of Cedar Ce-dar City who previously was associated as-sociated with the Bank of Southern South-ern Utah for six and one-half years. President of the newly organized organ-ized bank Is Warren Bulloch of Cedar City. Completing the list of officers are Wendell Eglle, Salt Lake City, vice president; Wlllicm R. Thorley, vice nresl-dent; nresl-dent; Arthur Joseph, Parowan, vice, president; White Cashier, and Schmutz, assistant cashier. Members of the board of directors di-rectors Include Bulloch, Stanley Bradshaw, L. V. Broadbent, El-wood El-wood J. Corry. Maeser Dalley, L. M. Jones, Arthur Joseph, Clarence Miller, William R. Thorley. Alex Williams and L. A. Whetten. . White pointed out that an open house will be held at the bank's location, at 99 North Main w(th-In w(th-In a short time. "For the time being, we are working night and day rushing details to completion comple-tion for the Nov. 25 opening." he said. Announcement of the open house will be made in the near future. |
