Show Cedar City Pony League Teams Organized Board of directors and managers manag-ers of the Cedar City Pony League met Friday evening and appointed teams for the 1958 baseball season. League president Dan Lindsay announced that four teams would compete in the program again this year under the same sponsors. spon-sors. They include Southern Utah Power, Utah Construction, Utah Parks and Arden Dairy. The managing personnel for the season sea-son will be Rex Erickson, Power; Marlon "Lefty" Bratton, Construction; Construc-tion; Bruce Decker, Dairy, and Klien Rollo, Parks. Leo Cahoon, player agent for the league comj eted registration registra-tion of all boys in the age bracket brac-ket of 13 and 14 years of age, who Indicated a desire to participate parti-cipate In the program. Those names, 64 In all, were then divided di-vided Into four teams of equal strength. When this was accomplished accomp-lished to the satisfaction of the managers, teams were drawn from a hat for sponsorship. GARY ANDERSON Gary has played an Important part in two spring sport activities activit-ies at the high school. Here he Is dressed in his track togs and and is carrying his baseball gear. Following a workout on the cinders cin-ders he will move to the diamond for hitting and trowing. He was a dual winner at the Regional track meet and is listed as the number one pitcher on the baseball base-ball team. |
