Show Cedar City Reception Honors Newlyweds A reception was held In Cedar City Friday evening at the Cedar Third Ward recreation hall in honor of newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bud Lund. The new Mrs. Lund is the former Karen Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Walker of Cedar City. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lund of Paragonah. The couple exc hanged wedding j vows in the Salt Lake L D S Temple on Nov. 29. Ceremony was performed by F.liler Willard Wil-lard K. Smith. The bride greeted guests in a beautiful white gown of lace over satin. The gown featured a princess collar trimmed with pearls at the neck. The bouffant skirt was of floor length. Sleeves were long and pointed over the wrists and her veil of bride's illusion was caught to a crown with seed pearls and sequins. The gown w;is designed and created by an aunt of th hrid 1 Tena Renshaw of Hollywood ' Calif. Attending the bride were La-' Dawna Walker, a sister, as maid of honor, and Mary Harney, also a sister, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Wat-i ters, Norma Lunt, sister of the bridegroom; and two flower girls. LaDell Walters and Mary Mar ! garet Barney. I Warren Smith performed the, duties of best man. j Hostess for the reception wa.ij Oia Smith. At the guest book was Dora Knight. j In charge of the kitchen were Vera Sherratt, Mame Bulloch, with Barbara Webb, Suzanne Kirtley. Sara Jarrett, Elle Rene Bettrldge, Connie Dutton and Marie Rhodes, serving. In the gift room were Verna Lawrence, Norene Goodwin and Irene Stephenson. The newlyweds are making a temporary home In Cedar City. The new Mrs. Lund will continue con-tinue her studies at the Cedar City High School and on Nov. 26, Mr. Lund will report at Fort Douglas for induction into the armed forces for a two year tour of duty. |
