Show KANARRAVILLE NEWS 1 Mr. Hannah Davis Our fire engine was called to the Dr. Prestwich farm Monday morning because of a fire in some of the outbuildings. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Williams attended a wedding reception in Toquerville Saturday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Jones. Mrs. Keith Pollock and children child-ren spent a few days last week in Enterprise with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Laub and other relatives and friends. They returned home Saturday. Mrs. Rosena Blake and Janice Blake have returned to their home in St. George after spending spend-ing several days here with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Davies. Elton Stout of Las Vegas was a business visitor about town Sunday. A wedding reception was held In the recreation hall Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Larry Reeves, who were married that day by Bishop J. F. Williams at the home of Mrs., Luella Hawkins. Haw-kins. There was a program, refreshments, re-freshments, followed by dancing. Larry is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Reeves and his bride was Miss Betty Hawkins, daughter of Mrs. Luella Hawkins. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Williams and Mrs. Ren Williams attended the funeral of Elbert C. Roundy at Alton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holiday of California are visiting here and In Cedar City with her parents and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lovell. Mrs. Holiday was the former Miss Morlan Lovell. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Strubble spent July 9 here with their daughter and family, Barbara Williams, the occasion being her father's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Delile Davis gave a birthJay Vrty f0r a group of youngsters in honor of their daughter Shelley on her 7th. birthday. Ellis Williams of Henderson visted with his mother, Mary M. Williams. His family who have visited here and in Cedar with relatives re-latives for several days, will accompany ac-company him on his return. . Estella Williams and Bessie Davis motored to St. George to visit the Don Schmutz family, because be-cause of the death of Mrs. Schmutz. Fun-da-lay was held July 8th in the church house. All Trail Builder boys and their parents and the Bishopric and their partners, part-ners, who were in town, partici-patod. partici-patod. The theme was "Out of This World." Games and relays were played and group singing, light refreshments of sputnics and cookies were served by the teachers, Lena Williams and Verna Davis. Visitors in town Sunday from Cedar City were Mr. and Mrs. Don Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Devon De-von Reeves and baby and Mr. and Mrs. Browning Piatt and family. Several of the children of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Robinson were hers for the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson's granddaughter, Mrs. Larry Reeves. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cornelius have returned home after a vacation vaca-tion trip into Canada. Rowena, Gary and Reed Williams Wil-liams were home over the week end from Nevada. Also visiting here were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Isom. |
