Parks of Allison Parks, Pa., accepts keys to automobile Airlines; Hertz Add New Tourist Service Another milestone In the tourist tour-ist industry of southern Utah was realized this past week with the arrival of the first couple on a newly inaugurated service offered of-fered through the combined efforts ef-forts of major airlines and the Hertz Rent-a-car system. On August 22, Mr. and Mrs. John O. Parke of Allison Park, Pa. arrived in Cedar City on Bonanza Airline flight 65 from Salt Lake City to take advantage of the new tour service. Under ' the nationally advertised adver-tised program tours of the park will be offered with Cedar City as the first stopplng-off point, according to Robet T. Czerny, regional re-gional Sales manager for Bonanza Bon-anza Air Lines of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Parke were met at the Cedar City municipal airport air-port by Mr. Czerney, Richard Reullng, assistant manager of Hertz Rent-a-car licensee of Salt Lake City and Bert Ashman of Cedar City, local licensee of the rental service. They are the first persons to purchase the new tour. The tour, which was completed com-pleted this summer, Is featured in a beautiful full color brochure published by Bonanza in cooperation cooper-ation with the Utah Drive-Ur-Self System, a Hertz licensee In Salt Lake City. Distribution of the brochure and sales of the new tour have been a Joint project of Bonanza, Western and United Airlines, which this year will be Joined by other airlines both domestic and international. United Airlines vacation specialists spe-cialists In Pittsburgh, Pa. sold the new tour to Mr. and Mrs. Parke. A variety of tours are offered through the new series to range from four to nine days in this area Including Cedar Breaks National Monument, Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon National Parks, Kanab, Kalbab Forest, Glen Canyon. Purchasers of the tours will arrive ar-rive In Cedar City on Bonanza Airlines and will pick up Hertz Rent-A-Car from -the Bert Ashman Ash-man agency to begin the tours. Traveling to the various points of Interest by car the vacationers will continue to Las Vegas, where they will leave the automobile auto-mobile and again board Bonanza to return to their homes. Included in the package deal la gas, oil, auto, park fees, motel and hotel accomodations along the route. Mr. and Mrfl. Parke selected the new tour No. 5 which Includes In-cludes eight days and seven nights. The tour includes stops t al of the above mentioned locations Including both south and north rims of the Grand Canyon, and In addltlen the Vermilion Ver-milion Cliffs and Hoover Dam.
