Show Jos. L. Barton Called On Work Mission by Church ' : j I w y JOSEPH L. BARTON Joseph L. Barton, son of Mrs. Vivian Barton, has received a call to serve on a work mission for the LDS Church, lt was announced an-nounced this week. Barton was called to serve in the Southwest Area Mission. A farewell testimonial in hon- k. mliclnnarv will hfli held Sunday, June 28, at 1 p. m. In the First Ward Chapel. Friends and relatives are Invited to attend. at-tend. Headquarters for the mlsiion la San Francisco and he will leave on June 6. Barry Porter, Clemont B. Adams and T. Gilbert Barton will be speakers at the testimonial. Bp. Lowell Sherratt will also speak briefly with remarks by Mrs. Barton and a response from the missionary. Special musical numbers will Include an organ solo by Marilyn Mari-lyn Prince and a vocal solo by Floyd Pickering. The missionary Is a graduate of Cedar City High School and has attended the College of Southern Utah. He also graduated graduat-ed from the LDS Seminary. He has been a member of the Cedar City National Guard unit for the past ten years. |
