Show Redmen Win One, Lose One in Final Practice Sessions With 12 games behind them, including nine victories and three losses,, li.c Cciiar High Redmen move into the Dixie Division race with just eight games re maining in the regular season. Drawing a bye in the opening round of play, the Redmen took advantage of the situation to play two practice games during the week, both on the road. They traveled to Monroe to meet highly ranked South Sevier Thuursday evening, then to Pin-guitch Pin-guitch to meet the Bodcats Saturday Sa-turday night South Sevier, led by all-state candidate Parsons, wiped out the Redmen In a one-sided, 75 to 51 fracas. Parsons hit for 28 points and South Sevier took an early lead and were never threatened by the Redmen. The Redmen, unable to stop the potent attack of Sevier, also fell behind in their own offense in the contest. Leading scorer for the Redmen was Bruce Holmes with 16 and Scott Nelson hit in the double figures with 12 points. An indication of the game was the Redmen foul shooting where they only hit 33 pecent, connecting on seven of 21. South Sevier hit 31 fieldgoals to 22 for the Redmen. Saturday the Redmen came bounding back to take the measure mea-sure of the Panguitch Bobcats, 62 to 61. Led by Holmes, Nelson and some timely assists by Sandy Webster, all who hit In double figures, the Redmen moved out into th lead in the second period per-iod and held onto a slim two point margin at halftlme. The Redmen outscored the Bobcats 17 to 11 In the third period, then held on in the final minutes of play to hold off a last minute drive to win by one. Nelson led all Redmen with 17, Holmes hit for 15 and Webster tanked 12 points. Riggs of the Bobcats hit for 25 points, including 12 field goals, but it was not enough.
