Show Oil Industry Spokesman Gives Scholarship I Representatives of the oil industry in-dustry In Cedar City, including I distributors, Jobbers and retail dealers, presented the College ol 'Southern Utah with a $75 scholarship schol-arship Monday morning. The scholarship presentation was made In conjunction with Oil Progress Week, Just concluded conclud-ed throughout the nation, under the Oil Progress Week Dealer scholarship plan. Representing the industry In Cedar City at the presentation was Floyd Eyman, distributor for Texas Oil Company, and DfcMar Bowman, Jr., distributor for Continental Con-tinental Oil Company. Receiving the scholarship money was Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, director of CSU. Recipient of the scholarship I was left to the discretion of the 'college scholarship committee, ; headed by A. W. Stephenson. Participating In the scholarship scholar-ship were the following distributors, distribu-tors, Jobbers and retail dealers: Bradshaw Chevron Station, Sid Porter, Utah Oil; J. McCarthy. McCar-thy. Utah Oil; Clint Hunt, Phillips Phil-lips Oil; Ivan Orton, Conoco; Bob Munson, Conoco; Art Tyler, Shell; Lynn Green, Union 76. Green and Higbee, Mobile Gas; Cox Oil Co.; Wallace Macfarlane, Sinclair Distributor; E. W. Macfarlane. Mac-farlane. Braithwaite, CSU director, accepts scholarship from Oil Industry representatives, rep-resentatives, Floyd Eyman, left, and DeMar Bowman, jr. A six-week trip to th East has just eome to an end for Mrs. Beulah Stephens. With breakfast in North Atleborro, Mass., before boarding the plane homeward, Saturday, Mrs, Stephens ended a most pleasant stay with her son and family the John Low-mans, Low-mans, at their Boston suburban home. During the time spent In the East, Mrs. Stephens visited many of the historical points of interest in the area surrounding Boston and traveled to sections of Interest in northern New York State. Following a pleasant flight, Mrs. Stephens landed In Cedar City Saturday evening In time for dinner at home. As an additional service Mr. Chamberlain Indicates that the same organization is now prepared pre-pared to perform catering service ser-vice for any town or campus organization. |
