Show MORRIS SLACK Cedar City Resident Elected to BYU Student Office Morris A. Slack of Cedar City has been elected executive assistant as-sistant to the student body president pre-sident at Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. He is a son of Mrs. Calvin Slack of Cedar City. Morris is studying in the field of LDS Church education and is minoring in psychology. He is a graduate of Cedar High School, class of 195.") where he served as student body president in his senior year. He was also accorded accord-ed the Boy of the Year Award at Cedar High. In athletics he participated in football, wrestling wrest-ling and track. He also attended College of Southern Utah where he was also active in student government govern-ment and served as the Freshman Fresh-man class president. At BYU he has served as a member of Junior Class cl "net. was Homecoming Committee Chairman and now executive assistant as-sistant to the Studentbody presi- 'lent. He has filled a mission for the LDS Church in the West Central Cen-tral States and has always been active in preisthood and scouting scout-ing groups. At the present time he Is attending at-tending BYU on a $300 Scholastic Scholarship. He is now attending the annual an-nual BYU Leadership Conference Confer-ence at Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he will help conduct this annual leadership conference, which Is the most outstanding conference held by the students of the University each year. |
