Opening PTA Meeting Formulates Activities for Year Officers of the Parowan Elementary Ele-mentary School Parent-Teachers Association held their first meeting meet-ing of the year Monday evening at the school, it is announced by Mrs. Norman Day, president of the organization for the 1963-64 school year. At this meeting plans for the opening social were made and a partial outline for the year's activities ac-tivities was drawn up. The date for the opening social has been tentatively set for Friday, Oct. 4 says Mrs. Day. At the same time officers selected se-lected chairmen for the program and publicity committees, with Mrs. Joseph Stubbs to head the program and Mrs. Alma Jones to head the publicity committees. Plans were also made to attend the regional convention of Parent-Teachers Associations to be held in Cedar City this week end. Officers of the organization, in addition to Mrs. Day for this season sea-son are: Boyd Robinson, vice president and faculty representative; represen-tative; Mrs. Roy Benson, secretary secre-tary and treasurer; Roy Benson, Jr., Mrs. Reed Orton and Mrs. Bob Stubbs, as members of the board of directors. Mrs. Dave Dalton will become a member of the board as the retiring president pres-ident of the PTA group.
