Show Judging Competition Honors Won by Valley High School Final results of the Livestock Judging held in connection with the recent College of Southern Utah Vocational Day events, were announced after entensive tabulation. tabul-ation. Valley High School of Order-ville Order-ville walked off with the team championship and took with them the traveling trophy donated donat-ed by California-Pacific Utilities Company. Beaver High School was awarded award-ed the trophy last year. Any school winning the trophy three successive years will retain permanent per-manent possession. In second place behind Valley High was Dixie High School with Panguitch High winning third place honors. Individual honors went to John Kirkland of Dixie High School, based on a combined point ac-cumlatlon ac-cumlatlon in Judging of beef, sheep and dairy cows. He collected collect-ed a total of 666.2 points. In second sec-ond place was Leon Cox of the winning Valley team with a total of 642.5 points and in third place with a total of 627.7 points was Doug Cannon of Hurricane. High point getters in the separate sep-arate Judging divisions were announced an-nounced as follows: Sheep: Ken Roberts, Piute, first; Leon Cox, Valley, second and Randall Chrlstensen, Millard, third. Beef: Kirkland, Dixie, first; Doug Cannon, Hurricane, second and Jerry Blackburn, Valley, third. Dairy Cows: Von Calliper, Delta, Del-ta, first; Robert Rowley, Farowan, second, and Ronald Reeve, Hurricane, Hur-ricane, third. |
