Show I Cedar Lions Delegation To Attend Confab Members of the Utah Lions Club, including seven delegates and members of the Cedar City Lions Club, will gather in Og-den Og-den Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Satur-day. June 5, 6 and 7 for their annual convention. Attending from Cedar City will be P. M. Bet hers, Leo Cahoon. Morgan Slack, Wallace Osborne and Ross Glass, and several others. Highlights 6f the threeday meeting Include a welcoming message by Ogden Mayor Raymond Ray-mond S. Wright and addresses Friday by Finis E. Davis of Louisville, Louis-ville, Ky., third vice president of Lions International and Utah Governor George D. Clyde. A convention opening mixer will be held for the visiting Liona and their wives Thursday evening eve-ning in the Hotel Ben Lomond ballroom. Friday evening the Ogden Og-den High School campus will be the scene of an outdoor barbecue with some 1,000 Lions and guests expected to attend. Convention sidelights Include conducted sightseeing trjps to the Bear River" Migratory ' Bird Ref-uge Ref-uge at Brigham City and Lagoon at Farmlngton. New state officers for the Lions Club will be elected during the convention and the selection of the next year's convention city will be made. |
