Show W WE hear c continually compla complaints abo about t the CHRONICLE its matter and policy W We are re told old that it is not ot in any sense sense a college paper that it would q perhaps do for ari an ei eighth grade in a a 1 district school that the locals are d dry y a and d pointless etc etc etc fc N Now ow we wish once for all to say say- th that t the editors are perhaps as well aware of the imperfections imperfections imperfections imper imper- of the CHRONICLE as as' any member member member mem mem- ber of the school There is this this- difference difference difference differ differ- ence however between the editors and the croakers the first do all they can to raise the standard of the paper to its proper proper proper pro pro- per level levei the others either try to pull it down or pr sit supinely with hands folded in laps head at one one side and do absolutely absolutely absolutely nothing one way or the theother other Of the l last st two kinds we naturally like the first named the better In their fierce invectives tives they sometimes very ve y occasionally do do- say dosay say something which benefits us For P this we are deeply grateful To the others we say Get thee hence The t x 4 editors will listen long and with the patience ot of Job to all sen sensible ible criticisms of their paper They have however this favor to ask of all students and every everyone everyone i one connected with the institution please be charitable with your criticisms unless you are willing to assist in m making making mak mak- king k- k ing the he paper better |
