Show Schools Announce Registration Schedules, Fees With the high and elementary schools of Iron County slated to begin the 1954-55 year's work on Tuesday, Sept. 7, Principal Max S. Dalley of the Parowan High School announces the following schedule for the registration of students at the nigh school: Tuesday from It a. m. to 12 noon high school seniors will report re-port for registration and guidance guid-ance by the faculty. Tuesday from 1 to 4 p. m., the juniors will be registered. Wednesday from 9 to 11 a. m. sophomores will register, and from 11 a. m. to 12 noon and from 1 to 2 p. m. freshmen will register. That day from 2 to 3 p. m. eighth graders will register and from 3 to 4 p. m. seventh graders will report for registration. Thursday morning classwork will begin for all students 'n these six grades. Principal Dalley reports that fees for the four upper grades, from nine to 12, inclusive, will be $8.50, which includes book rental and student body activity fee. $1.00 of this will be refunded refund-ed at the close of school next spring when the student returns his or her books in good shape. Other Fees Seventh grad? students will pay a fee of $3.50, with a refund of fifty cents at the end of the school vear. and eighth prnHf students will pay a fee of $4.00 with a $1.$$ refund in the spring. Mr. Dalley reports that all of the faculty members for the high school are here and ready to go with the exception of LeNoir Asay, who hasn't reached this country from France as yet. Mrs. Ramona Stubbs will handle his duties in the music department until he arrives, we understand. Principal Roy F. Hatch of the Parowan L D S Seminary informs us that he will also register stu-dants stu-dants along with the high school on Tuesday and Wednesday, with classwork in his department to begin Thursday morning. He urges ur-ges parents of high school students stu-dents to impress upon them the idea that high school classes are to be arranged so that they can attend the seminary classes during dur-ing the year. Principal Alma Lawrence of the elementary school reports that the work in the elementary elemen-tary grades will begin at nine o'clock Tuesday morning with all students expected to be in attendance. |
