Dixie traveled to Hurricane to post its eighth straight victory and although' they must face two of the upper division clubs before the end of regulation play they have cinched a state tourney tour-ney berth. Their two remaining remain-ing games are against Kanab this Friday night at Kanab, and a final game against Enterprise, at the St. George gymnasium. Redmen Move Up Cedar City Redmen virtually assured themselves a place in the Region Six round robin, by moving ahead of Enterprise in a thriller Friday night. The win put Coach Ray Englestead's Red-men Red-men into second place with two games yet remaining. Friday night, Feb. 25, the Redmen will meet Hurricane at the C S U Memorial Fieldhouse and. will wind up the season with a game at Orderville against the Valley Buffaloes. Both games against these teams proved easy victor- ies for the Redmen in the first half and the Redmen are expected ex-pected to finish the season play with a seven win and three loss record. Actually Valley High School is the only team that is completely com-pletely out of the race for the top three spots. Enterprise and Kanab with four wins and four losses each are only one game behind the second place Red-men. Red-men. Hurricane, although having lost five games, could come into the fight if they should score victories in their final two games. A loss this week for Hurricane, however, would put them out of I the Picture. Expected Split Enterprise is expected to win Friday evening against Valley but according to past performance perfor-mance will probably go down to defeat before the Dixie Flyers Fly-ers at St. George the following week. Kanab downed Valley last Friday Fri-day by a score of 66 to 51 to stay in the running. The Cowboys Cow-boys must yet face Dixie Friday Fri-day night at Kanab, followed , by a contest with Hurricane. ' Cedar's Redmen hope will be kept alive now mostly on the chance that the Dixie Flyers continue to win their division games. They have already cinch-1 cinch-1 ed the title so the Redmen have nothing to lose, and everything : to gain by having the Flyers .win their remaining games.
