Show Rotary Club District Governor To Make Cedar Visit J- 1 i v y . . 'j .'. i i ! -. i y : ' ') -.. y . . A J. Rodger Mendenhall The Rotary Club of CedJr City will be host to J. Roger Mendcnhall, Mendcn-hall, governor of the 165th district dis-trict of Rotary International Monday Mon-day and Tuesday, Aug. 29 and 30. He is making his annual official visit to each of the 41 Rotary ciubs in Utah, southern Idaho and western Wyoming. He will address the local club at its regular meeting Tuesday noon in addition to conferring, over the two-day visit, with President Don Draper and Secretary Glen Froyd and committee chairmen. Mr. Mendenhall is owner o the Mendenhall Theater Company in Boise, Idaho, and is a senior active ac-tive member of the Boise Rotary Club. In Rotary's Golden Anniversary Anni-versary Convention held in Chicago Chi-cago last June he was elected District Governer for the 1955-56 fiscal year. He is one of 238 district dis-trict governors supervising the activities of more than 8700 Rotary Ro-tary Clubs in 92 countries and geographical regions throughout the world. In discussing the governor's visit, President Draper commented comment-ed that wherever Rotary cjubs are located, their activities are s'im-ilor s'im-ilor to those activities of the Cedar Ce-dar City club. Because, he continued, con-tinued, they are based on the objectives of friendship, community commu-nity and vocational service and fostering international good will and understanding. All officers of the club and committee chairmen will meet with the governor in a special session to- discuss club activity, Draper said. This special meeting wUl be in attition to the regular luncheon, he said. |
