Show Ladies Auxiliary ! Sets Program For Convention Special programs for Friday and Saturday nave been arranged arrang-ed by the Ladies auxiliary of the State Firemen's Association, which is holding its annual convention con-vention in Cedar City August 3, 4 and 5. Today's activities are beln? held In conjunction with the men. but special programs for the ladies have been arranged for Friday and Saturday. A State Officers' Breakfast will begin at 7:30 a. m. Friday, while the rrRular convention session will get underway at 10 a.m. Ad-dreMos Ad-dreMos will bo heard from Mrs. L. V. Broadbent. wife of the mayor of Cedar City, and Mrs. Marlon F. Grames, wife of the Collar Citv firp chlrf. A special memorial service has been planned to honor a past president. Mrs. Vivian Gerr. A ioem. written In Mrs. Gorr's honor bv a close friend, will bo read y Mrs. Ed W. Southwlck. Musical accompaniment will be furnished by Prof. Roy L. Hal-versen. Hal-versen. At 2 p. m. there will be a tea for all of the ladles In the Cedar L D S Institute. Music will be furnished by the Hnlversen String Trio. Saturday's session will again open at 10 a. m. During the session, ses-sion, there will be election of new officers. There will also be organ and piano solos by Mrs Bernella Jones and A. B. Larson. A luncheon will be served at 12:30 p. m. at El Escalante hotel, with Mrs. Broadbent as guest. A special skit by Mamie Eck and company will be presented during the luncheon. In the afternoon there will be a conducted tour to Cedar Breaks, along with the firemen. |
