Show KSL Launches 1949 Trout Derby For the second consecutive year, station KSL in Salt Lake City will launch the KSL "Gold" Fish Derby on June 11, as the 1949 Utah fishing season gets underway. 500 trout have been tagged and planted in streams all over the state by KSL in cooperation with the Utah Fish and Game Commission. The prizes range from one to fifty dollars, with a specific prize corresponding to each number tag. The tags can be mailed to the station for the cash amount. Although a majority of the KSL prize-tagged fish were caught and accounted for last season, a good number of them are still "at large".
