Show Antelope Moved To Utah From Wyoming: Twenty one antelope, trapped In Wyoming and trucked 601) milts to their nrw habitat in Utah, have been placed in the bluck-sage country coun-try in wt Box Elder county, it was annt-unced tixlay by director Ross Leonard of the Utah Fish and Game department. The antelope were donated to the Beehive state by the Wyoming Fish and Game commission. They were trapped from the Bell Ranch about 30, miles northwest of Laramie. The 21 antelope were placed with a small herd In Box Elder county about 10 miles due west of the northern tip of Great Salt Lake at a plate known as Park valley. This site was selected because it was similar to Uie area from which the ; animals were taken in Wyoming. It was also chosen, according to ! Mr. Leonard, because It is a su table habitat for these animals, this area having been heavily populated with antelipe in the days prior to mar- ! ket h inting and the old railroad crusades. |
