Show Stake Designates Numbers for Ward Division The three wards which will be officially made out of the Parowan Paro-wan West and East wards with the advent of the New Year, will be known as the First, Second and Third wards, it was announced an-nounced last week by Stake President Pres-ident W. Clair Rowley. Designating Designat-ing wards by number instead of otherwise was made on the recommendation rec-ommendation of the L D S First Presidency. In compliance with the request, representatives from the three sections of the city drew for numbers and this resulted in the southwest section becoming the Parowan First ward, the northwest north-west section the Parowan Second Sec-ond ward, and the east section the Parowan Third ward. As the bishopric of this last ward all live within its boundaries boun-daries no changes will be made in the group. Several of the auxiliaries aux-iliaries will have to be re-organized as officers and teachers in each are included in the two new wards. A recent ruling by high church authorities states that no member residing within the boundaries of one ward may hold office in another ward. It is understood that bishoprics bishop-rics have been chosen and approved ap-proved for the First and Second wards, and the only thing remaining re-maining to be done to make the division final and official is for the bishoprics to be sustained by their ward memberships. Separate Sep-arate meetings for this purpose will be held in each of the new wards, but as yet a definite time for each hasn't been set. After the new bishoprics are installed, they will determine whether three of the auxiliaries, the Relief Society, Primary and M. I. A. groups will be re-organized now in the middle of the season's work or whether they will remain as they are until the season closes for them in May. The Sunday School changes chang-es courses and classes at the first of the year, making it an opportune oppor-tune time for re-organization. The M. I. A. groups in the East or Third ward are affected heaviest heavi-est with the Primary next and Relief Society next. The Sunday School losses several teachers but the Superintendency remains intact.
