Show BRONCOS ENTER CALIFORNIA MEET, SEEK NATIONAL TOURNEY BERTH The Branch Agricultural college basketball team will leave Sunday for Compton, California, to participate parti-cipate in the Western States Tour-nament Tour-nament which opens on Tuesday, March 0 and continues through Saturday, March 13. First and second sec-ond place winners in the tourna-nirnt tourna-nirnt will earn berths in the National Na-tional Junior College meet at St. Louis where ithe national cham pionship will be determined. Coach Ray Lindqulst was faced with the necessity of trimming his squad to ten men at the end of the regular playing season last week, since only a ten-man team Is permitted In the Compton tourney. Others selected are as follows: Arrangements have been made to Broadcast the games in which the B. A. C. team participates, so that local fans unable to attend the tournament may follow the action. Hie games will be broadcast over KSUB through a special leased wire, with Eddie Peterson giving the play by play description of the games. Thorley Motor Company will sponsor spon-sor the first game broadcast, with J. 'S. Prestwich sponsoring the broadcast of the second game. If the team Is successful In its opening games and continues to play the subsequent games will be broadcast with the Thorley Motor oompany as sponsors. |
