Show Cedar Clean-Up Campaign Is Tied Up To Centennial The Utah Centennial celebration in 1947 prompted Cedar City to make i.s annual clean-up campaign this year more than just a "clean-up", making it instead an extensive long-range beaut if ication program. With this in mind the City Beatification Beati-fication Committee opened a month long clean-up campaign this wee1:, and will continue its beautUication activities after the "clean-up" is completed. A feature of the preem program will be the Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce annual spring clean-up. under un-der which an attempt is made to remove from the city all rubbish, litter, cans, etc, and to remove or repair broken down and unattractive unattrac-tive fences, and paint-up and fix-up fix-up everything that detracts from the appearance of the city. In addition this year's program will include the removal of old shrubs and dead trees, replacing them with new plantings, removing old buildings, fences, and signs, etc no longer in use, landscaping ot private and public property, improving im-proving and beautifying approaches to the city, development of recreation recrea-tion facilities, and a paint-up program pro-gram that 'will extend to all parts of the city.
