These student A'ill help w.th all high school productions pro-ductions and will put on some one-id one-id plays. They will get practical .vork in make-up, staging, directs .nd In speech. As a spring project the Drama lass wiil present a High S?hool arsity show. INITIATION Wednesday the sophomore boys were initiated into the high school rhis day was known as 'Slave Day' and each senior had one or more slaves. These slaves wore trousers wrong side out and shirts backwards, back-wards, and answered each time their master beckoned. Since the time set for this began at 6 a. m many of the boys were called upo.i to do chores or chop wood. Tlie plans of the boys this year is to place a large block "C" on top of our building, one that will light up much as the "A"' nt the college does. We are also hoping for a year j book this year. Funds have been se'. aside and though the cost will b? slightly higher we are working hard for one. Opera Scores Arrive Wm. H. Manning sta.es that the Optra scores have arrived and that this opera, "Blow Me Down," is one of the most tuneful written. It Is full of laughs and sparkle and there are many characters and a large -,-horus. The f.rst reading took place last Monday, and as soon as the parts be:ome familiar, characters will be chosen. Social Science In the Social Science room is a new picture of President Roosevelt. It Is a copy of an oil painting and makes us thrill just to look at it. Tlie room also has a new world globe which aids greatly the study of this world war. Senior Representative Mary Oubler has been chosen as senior representative in pluce of Ionn Roundy who has moved away. We are sure Mary will do a fine Jou. Biology George Hess, the biology teacher, and his class are often seen walking about the school grounds observing the different plants and weeds. Mrs. Carolyn Mlddlesworth watches enviously en-viously and wishes she could go too. |
