Show lOlKTEEV IRON COUNTY PEOPLE- QUALIFY AS RED CROSS INSTRUCTORS Fourteen Iron county men and women completed an extensive First Aid Course given by a Representative Representa-tive of the National Red Crass at Cedar City last week, and are now qualified as First Aid Instructors. Emphasis during the week's training train-ing was placed on the need for a trained first aid worker in every home during these ierilous times. In these times where the need for first aid treatment is greater than ever, and when fewer doctors are available to treat injuries, Hie proper pro-per training in the treatment of injuries, in-juries, particularly thase of a minor nature, is very important. It was also pointed out that al though there should be fewer accidents acci-dents on the highways as a result of reduced speed, there has been no appreciable reduction of accidents in the home, and there Ls still as much need for tralnThg in this field as ever before. Even when traffic accidents were at their highest level there were more people injured In the home than on the highway. |
