Show British Consul To Deliver Address In Cedar Monday RoRer Bentham Stevens Roger Bentham Stevens, Britisn Counsel, from Denver. Colorado, v.ill visit Cedar City Monday and through the efforts of the Cedar City Lions and Rotary Clues, the people of the surrounding towns will have th2 privilege of hearing the visitor speak on wartime conditions con-ditions in England. Mr. Stevens, who was born in Sussex, England, is a graduate of Oxford, and has served with the British Consular Service since 1928. He is a pleasing speaker and has extensive ex-tensive Information at hand that should prow Immensely interesting interest-ing to ever j one who can arrange to hear him. He will appear at the Public School Auduoriuni at 8 P. M. Monday, Mon-day, June 21st. Everyone is extended extend-ed an Invitation to attend free of charge. Mr. Stevens will be accompanied by his wife, who Is also an interesting inter-esting speaker and will appear briefly on the program. This prominent British Consul, who has beea stationed at the Denver Den-ver office of the British Consulate Service since September. 1942, has served in. many capacities with the Consulate Service. He was in Buenos Bue-nos Aires from 1928 to 1931, at New York, 1931 to 193G; Antwerp, Belgium, Bel-gium, 1937 - 1938; Valencia Spain in 1939, anl lrom 1939 to September Septem-ber 1942 was in the British Foreign Office News Department and the Ministry of Information.
