Show NEWCASTLE II. E. Harrison has returned home from Salt Lake City where he had in eye removed at the L. D. S. hospital. hos-pital. About three weeks ago Mr. Harrison was struck in the eye by i rine bough while working In the woods. His eye steadily became wor.e, making It necessary to have it amoved. He Is recovering satisfactorily satis-factorily at the present time. Warren Piatt, who was Inducted into the United States Army a few weeks ago, was given a farewell party last week. A large crowd was in attendance. Warren left for Salt Lako City last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hartman and family of Boulder City. Nevada, also Fred Gillies of Las Vegas, Nevada, spent New Year's with relatives In Newcastle and Cedar City. Miss Mary Piatt, who has spent t'ne past year working at Auburn City, spent the Christmas holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. a.ert Piatt. Garth Beacham, who has been afflicted af-flicted with rheumatic fever, has been compelled to discontinue school and will be confined to his bed for the next several weeks. !.frs. Virginia K. Dahl and Infant son of Seattle, Washington, are home for a visit with her mother, Mf-i. Amy Knell, and family. Miss Katherlne Gillies, who has been employed at Boulder City, Nevada, Ne-vada, for the past six months, is ho.7.e for n few weeks. |
