Show Veterans' Certificate Committee Ready To Assist Borrowers Myron Jones, Chairman of the Veterans' Certifying Committee for Iron County, said today that the committee is ready to act on G. I. farm lean applicaions as soon as they ere presented. The Committee Chairman stated that the Veterans Administration has asked his group to pass on the "reasonable likelihood of success" of veterans applying for farm loan guarantees under terms of the "O.1 I. Bill of Rights." I The veteran will go to a local' bank or to any other credit source1 for a loan," Mr. Jones said, "and' if the lender is willing to make the loan and if the Veterans Administration Adminis-tration declares the applicant eligible, eli-gible, the request for a loan guar-J antee will be forwarded to cur committee com-mittee by the lender. Our Job is to tell the Veterans Administration whether or not we think the loan should be guaraneed whether the veteran's ability and experience, farm resources, operating plan, repayment re-payment schedule and other circumstances cir-cumstances give him a resonable likelihood of success." Mr. Jones said his committee will act on each application within a. week or ten days of its receipt. Other members cf the Cetrlfylng Committee are Harvey Adams ol Parowan, Kumen S. Gardner of Cedar City and O. Elwood Manwar-Ing, Manwar-Ing, County FSA Supervisor for the Farm Security Administration, will act as the Committee's Secretary. |
