Show Lambda Delta Sigma Launches Year's Program Miss Evaleen Hulet has been named nam-ed president 0f ihe Omicron chapter of the Lamboa Delta S.gma sorority soror-ity at the Cedar City L. D. S. Institute. In-stitute. Other officers include Dorothy Dor-othy Hulet, vice president; Fern Dalley, secretary-treasurer; Nancy Heaton, representative; and Katie Barlocker. representative to the Inter-so: ortty council at the Branch Agricultural College. Mrs. Ion? Bennion and Mrs. Virginia B. Larson Lar-son have been named advisors to the group, A planning social will be held this evening at the Institute and will include a business meeting, followed fol-lowed by a program of music after which ref.eshments will be served. Plans for the immediate future relative to social as well as service activities will be made at the business busi-ness meeting. Community service is basic in Lambda Sigma's social and cultural program. Repeating last year's blood donation project, the girls have already made arrangements ar-rangements with the State Clinic at the hospital for this support to the war effort. They have also contacted the Red Crass to render service in the same spirit. In this and many other oth-er ways the local chapter lends its support to the home front at an opportune time for service. Lambda Delta's social season opened op-ened with i:s annual chill party for all the girls of the B. A. C. last Friday evening at the Institute. It has also cooperated with tlte local Presbyterian church in entertaining groups of air cadets on Sunday evenings. This year's program will Include a number of socials to which cadets will be Invited. An Interesting feature of Lambda Delta is the annual fall reports from the three State universities and elsewhere of former members becoming be-coming affiliated with chapters on these various campuses. |
