Show Cedar City Voters Elect FourRepublicans,Three Democrats To Off ice The Republican party was successful suc-cessful in electing four of it.s enn-dii'ates enn-dii'ates to office, while the Dem-ocratc Dem-ocratc garnered three effices in Die municipal election held in Cedar Ce-dar City Tuesday. The election, one of the mast quiet to be held here In several years, brought out enly a light vote, w.th the vo lug being taher close on most candidates. The incumbent Mayor. H. H. Lunt. once mere led the field, gathering iiOO votes to 525 for his Democrat t-'' opponent, Gronway It. Parry. Thi.- will make the feiu-th term im Mayor Lunt. The Republican can-.tl.late can-.tl.late for the position of four-year te-m councilman, Heber M. Sevy. also wen by a large majority, receiving re-ceiving 829 vo.es to 577 for his opponent, op-ponent, Thomas Cardon. The voting fcr the three two-year two-year councilnien was rather close, wl'h two Republicans, Morris C. Roberts and I. N. Writ-lit. and one Democrat, L. C. Miles, coming cu' Mctorlous. Roberts received 771 voes, Wright 719 votes, and Miles 710 votes. Other candidates' for these rfflres received the following follow-ing number of votes: Parley Dal-ley. Dal-ley. D, 615; Oeorge II. Wood. R, 673; and Clin'on Milne, D, C93. Mrs. Mangle C. Carp"nlpr, Democrat, Dem-ocrat, wvii the position of City Recorder by defeating her Republican Repub-lican opponent. Mrs, Elene Jen.son by but 2 votes, Mrs. Carpenter re-'cived re-'cived GOO votes whMe Mrs. Jens'-n -eeclved 697. The incumbent City Treasurer.
