BEAM VjS Your Navy Recruiting Station at Cedar City reports three enlistments enlist-ments in the Naval Reserve for the past week: HONOR ROLL Olen a Haider. 21. son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma M. Harder, Leam ington. Charles Farrel Bennett, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin W. Bennett, Ben-nett, Deseret. Paul Wellman, 19. husband of Dorothy Wellman, Ctrclevllle. Young Wellman is well known in Cedar City, he and his father and brother were employed In the construction con-struction of our new airport. -USN- Last month's recruiting drive netted a total of 300 recruits from the State of Utah. Our quota was 241. Cedar City Substation supplied 26 and It took hard work. July's quota Is 275 brand new sallornien from Utah. This shouldn't require the hard work of last month because be-cause of the recent interest being shown In Class V-l. The boys who really want to go back to school this fall are taking an Interest In this V-l program. They have tried hard to find the catch to it but couldn't so now recruiting stations all over the country are being swamped with these serious minded youngsters. |
