Show Health Conditions At Indian Colony Creates Problem The Problem of health conditions .at the Indian Village north of Ce- dar City has again come before the. City Council, and this time it is expected that some action must be taken to avoid the spread of disease in Cedar City, since the Indians are constantly in town and shop at the various stores, attend shows, and mingle generally with the residents of the city. It has been pointed out that at least two members of the Indian tribe are suffering from tuberculosis, tuberculo-sis, both in extremely infectious stages, and yet are allowed to go about town at will. These two suf- t ferers were to have been taken to Phoenix, Arizona, for treatment at the Indian hospital there, but they ' refused to leave Cedar City. ! The matter was brought before , the City Council at its meeting I Thursday, and Clarence Miller, chairman of the public safety committee, com-mittee, was authorized to take the action necessary to have the two pat-lents pat-lents hospitalized to avoid the spread lot the disease. i - |
